Although my position isn't directly IT related, I thought this would be a good opportunity to put my skills to use as we would like to complete this project as soon as possible, yet our IT department is backlogged by about a year. | Trib Total Media | IST | I am currently employed by Trib Total Media as the Executive Director of Information Systems. I oversee the Information Technologies team (IT) and the Information Systems teams (IS). We are responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of all the systems within the company. This includes the network and necessary hardware, the data center with 80 physical servers and 180 virtual servers. Hardware and support for 300 end users. The IS team manages our Circulation, Accounting, Production and Advertising systems. While the systems are not proprietary, we maintain the system including all custom reporting and enhancements to the systems. We are also responsible for designing and maintaining all relationships between systems, vendors, and partners, whether they be through API, file transfers or other syncing mechanisms. My specific role is oversight and planning, although our team is small, so I am involved with the day-to-day operations, mostly on the database and system administration side of the operation. |
