EXHIBIT A DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Position: Tech Team Intern Summary/Objective: Lavner Camps believes that a great camp experience can enrich a child’s life and get them on a wonderful journey of happiness and success. Our instructors are essential to ensuring the safety of our campers while creating a unique atmosphere of learning, friends, and fun! While our instructors are tasked with ensuring that the camps are tons of fun, they must also actively engage each camper so they are challenged and skill sets are improved. Instructors must also be able to communicate effectively with parents and camp families about camp activities and any behavioral issues that may arise. Qualifications and Skills: ■ Passion for working with kids and friendly attitude ■ Ability to teach and lead activities as outlined in the curriculum ■ Excellent oral and written communication skills ■ Desire and ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere ■ Clearance of all required background checks ■ Flexible, enthusiastic, patient and excellent character and integrity ■ Willingness to be a team-player ■ Physical ability to perform job functions and activities as required Responsibilities and Duties: Administrative: All Instructors are required to do the following: ■ Read, fully understand and follow all rules, guidelines, and procedures included in the Lavner Camps Handbook and provided during the staff orientation. Specific points to highlight from the handbook include: ■ Camper Roster ■ Sign in and sign out procedures ■ Accident/incident reports, ■ Make sure the camp environment is safe for the campers and staff. You are responsible for the campers’ safety and well being at ALL times. ■ Be a positive role model for the campers and staff at all times. ■ Make sure camp is set up before the campers arrive. Upon campers’ arrival be ready to greet the children and camp families with enthusiasm and begin daily activities. ■ Perform head counts of campers at least four times per day as noted in the camp curriculum. ■ Maintain a “buddy system” any time a camper needs to leave the activity area to go to the bathroom. ■ Supervise campers at ALL times. This includes but is not limited to Snack, Lunch, Recess and Pick Up. Never leave campers unattended. You must also actively engage with campers at all times during the day including: Snack, Recess, and Lunch. ■ Report any accident/incident reports, behavioral problems, parent complaints, or anything of importance to your On-site Camp Director. If problem persists or is urgent please contact the Central Office at (610) 664-8800 and/or Info@lavnercamps.com in addition to the On-site Camp Director. ■ Speak to any parent with a question or concern during camp hours, during a time that is reasonable and appropriate (please try to speak to parents during drop off/pick up and/or recess – not during camper learning time). All communication with campers or parents is to be done at camp, and the Central Office will handle all other communication outside of camp. Emailing, texting, or calling parents is not permitted unless given authorization by an onsite camp director or regional camp director. ■ At day’s end, clean camp area and activity area completely so that it is ready for the following day. Also make sure your designated camp area is clean at the end of the camp week. ■ During camp hours your cell phone is only to be used in case of an emergency or to contact the Central Office at (888) 854-CAMP(2267) or Info@lavnercamps.com. Instructors should make sure campers are not using their cell phones during the camp day, unless there is an emergency. ■ Assist On-Site Camp Director with duties as needed, and if requested. |
