I will be conducting research on how queer people of color use ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) to cope with stress placed on them by societal stigma. My research team and I will be looking specifically at members of the LGBTQ+ community who also identify as a person of color as these two groups combined are not currently being studied as much within the fields of Information Science and Psychology (coping mechanisms). We plan to analyze if they use technology to cope, what they use to cope, and if these coping mechanisms are effective to mitigate their stigma.

I will also be working with the i3 Alumni Association to collaborate with i3 alumni on their newsletters and help grow the i3 network for future scholars. My work may vary from 9-15 hours a week depending on what tasks need to get done and I will be working on this project during fall and spring semester. 		Other Spring 2020

DHL Supply Chain IST I currently work on Electronic Data Interchange mapping, SQL reporting functions, reading and writing XML, Inventory Logic, and Scheduling Integration. SQL Reporting correlates with IST 210. EDI mapping and Scheduling Integration correlates with IST 260. With this we map out system communications to determine how to automate transactions between us and our customers to have their inventory in SAP match ours whenever we make changes in our WMS. On a daily basis I'm reading and correcting EDI files which are in XML format, this correlates to IST 240. I am employed as network administrator where I manage an assortment of network equipment for a wide variety of customers.
