I will be required to complete many tasks including planning and delegating different tasks. This position is all about decision making and delegation. I will spend 2 full days as a platoon sergeant. In that position, I need to focus more on personal management and accountability. I will take orders from the platoon leader and execute them by managing the platoon. I do not make decisions in this position but I make the plan execution run smoothly. I will spend about a week as a squad leader. In this position, I manage a team of 9 individuals. My job is delegation within my squad and leading by example. A good squad leader is an individual who can display the army's leadership attributes and competencies. Some of these are developes, Achieves, Empathy, and communicates. Lastly, I will spend a few days as a team leader. This position leads 3 members. My job will be to take orders from the squad leader and disseminate the information as well as lead similar to squad leader. All of this relates to my IST 302 Class. |
