I will be building a dictionary to use for these different stocks that contain key words and phrases that may be found in the article. By using this dictionary, I will try to predict if the stock will rise or fall in the future. This program should also be up to date with the most recent news articles. This relates to my major due to me having to write a program that looks at these articles for the user and predicts if the stock will go up or down depending on the news. This program has to go to the site finviz for articles posted there, click on each article, and compare them to the dictionary every 3-5 minutes. The program will also have to produce a prediction of sorts after comparison. The project is to create an upper layer of a web framework where computer cursor (mouse) can be controlled, hovered around special area of the underlying browser(s), and perform an excel export given a refresh rate. It would be nice if the program can learn from human controlled movements and tasks, and perform the same tasks automatically from then onwards. The underlying browsers are FinViz.com (exporting the screener page using the button at the bottom-right corner), and Tradingview.com (where it allows the screener of choice to be exported via a drop-down menu.) The top layer is not supposed to take too much computational time and energy of the computer, essentially matching refresh rate of the underlying browsers. |
