| School District of Fort Atkinson (Fort Atkinson, WI) | SRA | ICS | This is a three part internship that will be spanning two semesters. In the first half of the internship I will be working directly for the customer service portion of the IT Department. The basic responsibilities include; utilizing and managing the IT Ticketing system, responding and resolving technical issues for more than 3000 teachers and administrators, closing out tickets, performing mandatory updates to operating systems, as well as day to day maintenance on computing systems to include re-imaging. The second part of this internship requires me to work directly for the network administrator. Some of the basic requirements are performing daily maintenance on the school districts two separate wifi networks as well as their main network. Some other duties include updating and maintaining security requirements for the network as well as other network administration duties. The final portion of my internship as discussed with the Director of IT is to perform an internship long security and risk analysis report. The details include determine aspects of the network that are at highest risk for infiltration, performing a full analysis on the risks and creating a full risk report for the school district to utilize while moving forward. |
