My role in the company as an intern revolves around content and back-end management for the Art of Living's network of websites and blogs run by independent authors. My primary duty is to manage all of the content in the Art of Living website and social media networks; this includes scheduling posts, optimizing all posts for search engines, updating our back-ends via HTML, Javascript, and CSS. To keep our backends secure, I will be updating them regularly and will also be redesigning the workflows our technical and non-technical employees use when interfacing with the back-end. Once a week, I will be meeting with my managers to present our website analytics for the week. I will also be offering suggestions regarding how we can increase our audience and will be implementing new strategies regarding SEO throughout the coming weeks. Secondarily, I will be creating new visual content for the Art of Living network of websites and blogs. This includes producing original photographs and videos for our websites and blogs and our social media channels. I will also be working with my closest author, Maria Liberati in redesigning her personal blog via HTML and CSS. We are looking to add interactive javascript elements to her site as well. I will be utilizing several internal network monitoring techniques. I will have access to Wireshark to monitor traffic on our internal network. |
