The student intern would be responsible for running a usability study on the website, summarizing the results, and proposing recommended changes to the design. The student would also be expected to design the new website by May 2019. Task 2: Create a Startup Week Speaker Database: The Startup Week team needs a centralized database to store information about the annual speakers (name, contact info, years invited, years accepted, class/professor placement, etc.). At this time, the speaker list exceeds 150 people and the information is stored across multiple committee members’ mailboxes, spreadsheets, and other informal documentation. This makes it very difficult to find historical data on our speakers. It also leads to extra time being spent finding the same information each year. The student intern would be responsible for creating the database structure and populating the database with the existing speaker information by May 2019. |
